FAQ

  • Why is training important?

Training is crucial as the restoration industry changes more rapidly each year. We all have either time or money. Training is exchanging money for time. Can you learn these things on your own? Of course you can, but they take time, trial and error, and the effort of building your own processes. Training allows you to skip forward, using other’s experience, failures, and knowledge so you can improve your business and your customer’s experience.

  • How much does this cost?

The training is $1000 per monthly course. There is no contract or ongoing commitments.

  • What if I am not available for the live events?

No problem. All events are recorded and any paid event is available in your dashboard.

  • Can I have my team on for the live events

We ask that only one person per membership have a “speaking” role in the live event. Your team can watch but they can not actively participate.

  • Is the information worth the time and money?

That is up to you to decide. Our members see almost instant positive ROI. Furthermore, every strategy learned can be applied in future months, meaning the ROI is not just per month, but ongoing. The ultimate question you should ask yourself is, “How many jobs do I need to get approved for the financial investment to be worth it?” Oftentimes, just a handful of jobs pays for the entire year of training.

  • How did Chris and John meet?

Chris’ business was the largest user of NTS reports in 2022. Because of this John reached out and asked Chris to speak at his Nashville class in fall of 2022. That was well received enough that Chris spoke at dozens of John’s events. It was these events where Master Your Craft was born, as dozens of contractors consistently asked for ongoing training, covering a variety of topics, and the opportunity to learn more about the industry.

  • How is this training different than John’s classes?

Master Your Craft covers everything in the industry. Not just the restoration side, or fighting carrier tactics. This training encompasses those things, but also speaks on the day to day operations of a roofing business. Tax strategy, company culture, recruiting, hiring and firing, etc.. Furthermore, Master Your Craft provides the knowledge and expertise of John Senac with the real world of an active contractor in Chris Zimmerman.

  • Can I purchase individual courses?

Absolutely. While it is most effective to start at the beginning and absorb all the training, you can certainly by whatever trainings are most relevant to you in an a la carte fashion. You should know however, that in many trainings, previous training topics and issues are referenced that may leave you in the dark so we always encourage all the trainings to be watched and absorbed.

  • Can I jump in now or do I need to buy all previous courses?

You can start the training this month and continue on each month. Or you can start at the beginning and get all the trainings. Or you can simply buy certain month’s courses. We want this to be easy and as burden free as possible. Whatever works for you and your budget is fine with us.

  • Can I book you to do private trainings for my company?

Yes, John and Chris do private consulting both individually and as a team. Reach out to them directly for more information.

  • What forms of payment do you accept?

All major credit cards are accepted. We do accept ACH bank transfers for larger orders.

  • Is payment automatically recurring?

You have the option for a subscription which is a recurring billing each month. Or you can choose individual courses as one time costs

  • Why is there an application process?

Master Your Craft is designed to help roofing contractors committed to protecting homeowners and doing business the right way. The application serves as our opportunity to vet a potential member for these qualifications.

  • How long does the application process take?

Applications are almost always approved or denied in under 48 hours.

  • Who do I contact with questions or issues?

Visit the Contact Us button on the bottom of the home page or email [email protected].

  • Do I get access to John and/or Chris outside the recorded events?
